A house by the water, not a resort

Aurelia sits on a limestone rise above the sea in Pula. The apartments are small in number on purpose: four independent homes, each with a sea-facing terrace, a proper kitchen, and the kind of quiet you only get when the building is not trying to be a hotel.

Each residence is named for something that belongs here: the Roman road, the stone, the cypress, the light.

Pula, without the noise

Quiet rocky cove and clear turquoise water on the Istrian coast near Pula

The city is one of the oldest on the Adriatic: a Roman amphitheatre still in use, a forum, a market that actually feeds the town. The coast around it is pines, coves, and swimming before breakfast.

Why guests return

“We came for the water and stayed for the hush. Coffee on the terrace, a swim at eight, the Arena at dusk. The apartment felt like someone’s considered home.”
